Chalice Bleached?

    My water melon chalice that I got from RE is bleaching :cry:
    It only has a lil bit of flesh left with like half a eye, Help please :(

    Try dipping it in a mixture of tank water and tincture of iodine. Use about 5 drop per cup of water. You can get the iodine at any drugstore.

    I have Kent iodine will that work?

    It should. Leave it in there for 15 minutes.

    hopefully it stops the bleaching, lets it heal , and then again hopefully it recovers and gets healthy.

    Is it bleaching or is it loosing its flesh or both?

    I was able to fully recover this chalice. I put it in partial shade at bottom of tank and left it alone for several months.

    I've got a b4/after picture at link that's 7 months old. It's a lot bigger now. Once it got to the point in the 'after' pic linked, I moved it up a few inches in full light and it's been there ever since.
