My Chalice coral sent out streamers of white in the middle of the day. I took some pics. I'm guessing it was spawning, but didn't find much online.

    Is this common?

I've seen feeders at night and they are clear, pulls things back in... this was ejected from the coral... eventually drifted off and weren't, umm... motile?

Could be mesenterial filaments (basically the coral's stomach), do you have any other corals close by that it could be trying to attack? Or is it possible it's stressed out? Have you checked your parameters lately?

Yea, that's not spawning. Thats pretty much the corals internals being expelled.. Something must have stressed it out.
