Well now I'm not sure it's dino, there's hair like algae with bubbles at the end, but it just looks like gha, not the slimey texture that dino has. I'll attempt to take a picture.

Hard to say, it does not have that long hair thin appearance. The bubble development does look like it though. If it's not killing your zoanthids or corals you're probably safe to let it run it's course. Dino killed my zoanthids first.

It's mostly zoanthids, so if it was dyno it would kill the zoanthids, and then the snails, right? Hopefully its nothing serious.

Yes Dino killed my zoanthids and snails. No other corals were adversely affected. It was unsightly, the typical growth pattern was the development of strings from the tips of the corals and the development of bubbles along those strings. I could clean it in the am and literally watch it grow back within hours if the lights were on.

You might consider a black out.

I took your advise, and finished day one of the blackout. How long do you think I should go?

Awesome tank Chance!!! I know you said it was a DIY tank. If you don't mind can u do an itemized list of what you have & the approximate cost if the set up?
    Thanks,

    Coach

Well, It's no longer a "DIY" tank. I switched over to a 10" cube that had about the same water volume as the previous display.

The original tank was a 5.5g standard tank, with an overflow on one side. The overflow was just a piece of acrylic that fit the tank. Then I used a maxijet to pump the water back into the display. Over all, the cost of the whole thing, tank, acrylic, silicone, maxijet, you're looking at about $50 if you do it right.

Huge power outage in NE Ohio, 6 inches of snow. Did my best to keep it warm but temp got down to about 60 degrees.
    Major casualties include:
    Sea Cucumber
    All my snails
    Lobo
    Large chunks of Zoanthids

All is not lost! I have a 5g bucket with what is still alive. My house is still freezing lol.
