change to a male??

Looking at some lyretail anthias , question I have is if I buy two small females and one larger female, will the larger one turn to a male in due time??

I really like Anthias and have kept them successfully but only after failure caused by my neglect to feed them enough and often. Getting healthy specimen is half the battle. I had a better outcome feeding frozen foods like mysids and similar foods that disperse quickly and move through out the water column without settling on the bottom.

 

I just got 4. Three females and one male. Of the females there was one adult female and two smaller juveniles females. One female died the first night. The adult female was eating like crazy and still is. My male would not eat and died. I thought one of the smaller females died but it is hidden in the rocks after a week and won't come out. Not sure if it's getting food. But after reading up it's not good to mix adult females with juvenile lyretails. They are quite mean. If you can get a male and juvenile females and make sure they eat in store. Also I would recommend getting them from Liveaquaria for the 14 day guarantee since it seems to take a while before you can get a group that will actually live.
