I started my tank a few months ago with a crushed shell type of substrate. I have now decided to change it to a sugar fine sand. I know this is a silly question, but when I change the sand will my tank cycle again??? Or will the bacteria in the water be enough for everything to be ok??? If I use dry sand how long does it usually take for the sand to become "live"? None of my local LFS offer live sand from their established tanks. Should I order a few pounds of live sand to seed my new sand with or will things be ok just adding the new sand and letting it become live sand???

No your tank should not re-cycle. and your sand will become live very quickly.
the removal of you cc may introduce a lot of ammonia and Nitrite/Nitrate into the water. I would suggest putting all your corals and fish into a rubber made container with a PH air stone and heater.
You will need to rinse the sand very well to remove all the fine particals that will crowd you water.
