So i am getting ready to change out my bulbs. Do i need to acclimate my tank to the new lights? I have two 150watt lights. One is noticeably getting dim and the other i believe has some life left in it. I was thinking about just changing the dim one and leaving the other one for another month or so? What do you all think?

Hmm if you have been using that light system for a while and your corals and fish are used to MH's.. i would change them both so its nice and fresh new light and shorten light cycles for a few days and see how the Live stock reacts.. If all seem normal reaction like your old bulbs of course slowly bring it up to normal light cycles..

I have changed my MH's before old bulbs to new ones... and never changed my light cycle and i realy did not notice any affects. also changed them at night so the mh's are cool and the new ones start fresh in the am..

    Hope this helps...

    Best of luck...
