I'am really taking into consideration to change my reef to a FOWLR. I have mostly mushrooms and ricordeas some GIANT toadstool and 4 LPS. My LPS started dying a couple weeks ago(no pics sorry) its like the tissue is receding and this white hard spiky stuff is showing where it is dying. The only one that seems like it is doing ok is the one that is rainbow and got fragged from a dying colony. So also i don't know what i would do with the nems. I've got 5 small half dollar sized bleached BTA's. So I wanted to take all of that stuff in and trade it for a fish or some thing.
So heres what i was thinking
Angelfish: 1 large or a pair of dwarfs

Saltwater Aquarium Fish for Marine Aquariums: Blue Girdled Angelfish -majestic angel

Cherub Angelfish, Atlantic Pygmy Angelfish - Centropyge argi

    Butterflyfish: 1or2

Auriga Butterflyfish, Threadfin Butterflyfish - Chaetodon auriga

    Raccoon Butterflyfish - Chaetodon lunula

Blue Stripe Butterflyfish - Chaetodon fremblii

Falcula Butterflyfish, Saddle Back Butterflyfish - Chaetodon falcula

    Blenny's:

Lawnmower Blenny, Algae Blenny - Salarias fasciatus

Clownfish:(Prob not do this but maybe in the future)

Akindynos Anemonefish, Barrier Reef Anemonefish - Amphiprion akindynos

Blue Stripe Anemonefish, Orangefin Anemonefish - Amphiprion chrysopterus

    Tangs: maybe 1 or none

Tennenti Surgeonfish, Doublebanded Surgeonfish - Acanthurus tennenti

Yellow Belly Blue Tang, Palette Surgeonfish - Paracanthurus hepatus

Gold Rim Surgeonfish, White Cheek Surgeonfish - Acanthurus nigricans

    Triggers: (1 or none)

Humu Triggerfish, Humuhumu Triggerfish - Rhinecanthus aculeatus

Blue Jaw Triggerfish, Gilded Triggerfish - Xanthichthys auromarginatus -MALE

So thanks for your idea's. Everything is in my sig and only have two clownfish in there now and after i donate or sell all the coral there will be huge amounts of swimming room left. prob just gonna do a little rock pile in the center! Thanks and any questions please ask!

Most of the larger fish you have listed need 4+ foot long tanks. I think the 72 is only 3 feet long so I would advise against those fish. The others look great as long as you take into account their agression levels and the types of fish they are likely to fight with.

My tank is 48" normal for a 72 and i was considering doing a aggressive tank.
