    you could try Red Sea Reef Base, it's not normal sand but small aragonite spheres.

    may i suggest that you look into fiji pink *not really pink* i have this in my reef and LOVEit

    Im glad you mentioned this. Makes total sense. So Im gathering that saome kind of Bahama/ fiji aragonite sand is, in fact my best choice.

    Heres what I know about the sand grades...
    #0 is the sugar fine stuff then there are #1 #2 & #3 grade sand each getting a bit bigger grain...justt something I learned from my LFS guy. I got a mix of #1 & #2 to go over the #0 stuff to help hold it down in my nano.....seems to do the job. But I'll be getting a mix of 2&3 for my next tank or possibly the marco rocks sand...they have a good deal on a sand & rock combo pack right now. Or have 2 other choices I'm looking at as well.

    Hard to make up my mind....guess it'll depend on what rock I go with.

    Ohand the aragonite sand does come in these different grades ....as a plus aragonite sand has buffering capabilities.
