Ok so I am in the process of building a 34 gallon tank. I am putting a custom made sump approximately 5 in. outward and 20 in across (the tank dimensions are 24in long 20in wide and 16in high). I am making one compartment of the sump to be a refugium, however, I do not know whether I should use live rock rubble or chato algae. What do you guys think?

With that little room use chaeto. You will have space for more than enough live rock in the DT.

Yeah I was going to do about 60 lbs of live rock I have it sitting just waiting for me to hurry up and set up the tank. I was going for chaeto figured it would be best to help keep the algae down and get rid of all my unwanted chems.
