I'll see what I can do when I get home. Been running it for a couple of months now and so far so good.

I bragged on mine a few weeks ago, then last weekend one of the ballasts fried. It was an Odyssea, and was less than a year old.
Anyway I went to the lfs and dropped the $350 for a good one (SolarXtreme).

    Total costs: $169.00 Odyssea + $100 Good bulbs + $350.00 SolarXtreme = $619.00

Total cost if I'd have just bought the good one to begin with = $350.00

Sometimes savings is only short term, but it'll usually cost you in the end.

I have a 48" t5 fixture less than two months old and is similar to post # 1, but no timer. If interested let me know.

i've had mine for about 3 months now! No issues really, but i'm buying a new light in the next few days! I'd say its fine if you're not gonna go past having softies! I'm buying another one after reading so MANY reviews where this thing ballasts fry out! Gonna keep it as a back up and I'm afraid of the fire hazard!

This thread seems to be the perfect example of this.

This is the odyssea light! I have the 20 inch one no timer it is a year old.

    Look here http://www.aquatraders.com/

This is odyssea dealer. I love the lights. Yes they do get faulty ballast often. Home depot cares t-5 ballets. I recommend replacing ALL ballast in odyssey fixtures.

I run there fixtures over several of my fresh water and salt water tanks. If enough people want I will do a in depth review.

Odyssea has came a Long way. The ballast are crap and you should replace them all. Many accounts of them going out. Other than that they are very well made!

I just had to replace a ballast in my ATI sunpower that is only 2 years old, so.... i think this type of thing can happen on any brand.
