    I went to my local lowes and found 70W metal halide pendant light and was wondering if i could buy this and get the proper bulb for my 20 long tank and retrofit it into my canopy... the measurements are perfect it's only 98 dollars i cant pass this up if it will work... INPUT PLEASE!!!

    I think it would work but I don't think it would be producting more light than what you have now with the 130W of PC.

    I would shop around as I think you would probably be able to find a decent deal with a usable bulb.

    how does the tank look with the lighting you already have, post a pic? Are you going to add the MH to the PC or replace them?
