I could care less about video honestly. But menu functions would be a biggie.

Go to best buy or similar store and try them all out. See which one(s) will suit you. For your use, you will need one that is quick and easy to use, whatever brand you get.

The ease of use of the sansa is so simple my mom bought one as well, and she is a bout as ditzy as can be (and now going senile). Electronic stuff baffles here and she figured it out with no help from me (not much anyway).

At our Best Buy, the cheapest one they have is the Zune ($289). Well, minus the small I-POD (the jogger one), but I refuse to buy another Apple MP3 player. No Sansas. Keep in mind here in BFE our Best Buy is the size of your liquor store LOL.

Check out the Sony line of MP3 players. They are SWEET!!! They are easy to use, have video, radio, all the goodies, are cheap, and have multiple mutiple colors and options. I love them and recommend to everyone.

    BTW, I hate I-Pods.

With the Sony's, you can share music. That makes them a winner in my book already.. And you don't have to install programs on your PC to use it..
