There is this guy on Ebay selling these sump DIY kits. He supplies the partitions and you put them in a standard 12" wide tank like a 10 gallon and I think 55 gallon. You can configure it any way you want and you don't have to cut the partitons yourself. He also sells knock offs of CPR, Ecosystem, Cyclone, and Mega Flow sumps MUCH cheaper than the real thing. There are HOB systems available too. I just bought on of the DIY kits and I should be getting it in the mail in the next few days I'll let you guys know how it looks. Here is the link:

I'm very curious about this item. I have a wet/dry that's never been used that I want to turn into a refugium and I'm wracking my brain trying to figure out how to do it. Please let us know what you think of your new purchase!

I bought a HOB refugium from this guy. It was pretty simple to put together. the only problem i ran into was the glue, there was barely enough(little bit of user error). But as for the refugium...it helped my nitrates drop, its quiet but its small. and will be replace by a sump/fuge in the next day or two. Overall, I thought it was a good purchase

Those kits he sells, You can pick up the plexi glass at lowes/home depot and cut them your self with a hoppy knife or saw of some sort. Pick up aquarium glue from the LFS and your set, and save a lot of money and you dont have to wait for them to ship it.

I still havn't gotten it in the mail :( I'm gonna email the guy in a sec and see whats going on. Hopefully it's in transit. If not I'll just tell him to cancel it and go get some plexi from Lowes. Then I'll have my old manager at the LFS help me make the sump because if left to my own devices i'll somehow screw it up.
