I am going to be setting up my first fuge, however my stand is low and does not leave much room for a light. I was thinking of a flat LED light and was wondering what others had used and how much they cost.

A par30 will be your least expensive LED option for a fuge. But I really see no point in going LED for a fuge...most people just use the 6500K spiral CFL bulb from Walmart, Lowes or Home Depot. Put the bulb in a metal reflector clip-on lamp and that's maybe $6 total. You can't beat that.

I was going to do the CFL but it wont fit in my stand. I only have about 6" between the top of the fuge and the bottom of the tank. I also want the least heat possible in the stand as its enclosed.

Thanks, will when I eventually set it up. From what I have been reading some say a fuge is not needed on a fowlr.

Tank is a 110g corner tank, it only has a 65w PC so I cant grow corals. I was just thinking a fuge would help the tank and fish with natural food. Do most fish eat copepods?
