Cheato growth

I have been having problems with. MY cheato growing, in fact in just seems t get less and less ?
I have put a LED 120 watt (half power) on for 12 hours a day, is this too much light ?

 

The chaeto might be limited by something other than the light it's receiving. Your water might be too "clean" for the chaeto to flourish.

 

How can I dirty it up ? I have fish only with live rock, I have 100lbs live rock, 2 filter socks, 4000gph flow.
My params are all good except phosphate sits at .25 no matter what I do.

 

I put a total of 200W on my chaeto, about 6 inches above, 12 hr's a day, largely opposite the DT. I don't think it too much light

 

Do you have algae issues in the tank? If not, then probably there is is no need for chaeto, and as such, there is not enough nutrients to sustain it.

 

I'm sure it will come to a balance soon and just sustain soon.

 

I have some red algae that's a pain in the ass to be honest
