    hey guys i just bought sopme cheatos and the LFS gave me ALOT and im going to put it in a aquaclear 20 HOB. my question is... is it ok to have some of the stems out of the water? and is it good to have them squeeshed up into a ball? im sorry i only have a 10 gallon lol. and this is my first time buying something thats usefull..

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    The chaeto should be submerged, even the ends. I like it in a clump rather than all loose and stringy looking.

    If it's in too tight of a clump, the inside will die. You should turn it over every couple of days and spread it out a little so that all parts get light.

    How much should I have for a 10 gallon? Lols I have enough to fit into a aquaclwar 20 and I have my led nightlight that's attached to it.

    Doesn't matter how much you have, it'll grow. What's an LED nightlight?

    Maarineland led night lights. Its has 2 led lights that are white. I hope that's enougg light.

    Best light to grow Cheato is 6500k daylight spiral compact fluorescent. Anywhere from 13w to 26w. Use a clip on aluminum fixture (about $8 at Lowes or Home Depot).

    Yep, that's what we use. Algae loves 6500K (so don't put it over your display LOL).
