    Just wanted to share this with everyone not sure on how accurate it is but I just found a light sensor on my Samsung galaxy S3

    The first screen shot is while I'm outside sitting in my car and the second is in direct sun light

    If your interested in trying it out yourself if you have the same phone as me simply bring up your dialer and enter *#0*# then click sensor button then click on light sensor

    The first screen shot is what comes up after you enter the code and the second is what comes up when you press sensor
