    Protected species in CA :(

My permit (only one issued of it's type) only allows me to collect zooplankton and macro-algae broodstock dang it.

Hi Matt/Gresham....as I've said in a previous thread all of these are corallimorphs/corynactis....they do look like sun corals,(which I used to keep in my trop marine tank and cost plenty over the years!).....lots of colours down here....I've counted around 20 different colour forms.....you can't have everything though....I'd love some of your colourful Catalina gobies!!

oh but you can. It's a done deal then. We'll brake at least two nations laws and introduce species that can live in both areas for the pure sake of our own personal enjoyment  (joking of course)

    <<< is jealous :(

New additions to the temperate reef tank

Here's a few shots of the latest additions....collecting smaller live-rock now to fill the reef-wall gaps....they're all corallimorphs plus a beautiful encrusting pink sponge....all the sponges do well until the biscuit star's find them...they really like to graze on them so I've put all the larger ones back on the reef and just kept the wee guys...

That is an amazing tank. Im sure this tank only cost a fraction of a tropical reef tank.
