    Coldmarine's reef wall complete..plus pics!

Here's a couple of new colour morphs of the jewels... plus a panorama shot of the completed reef wall, taken without the halides....just the 4X T5's going.

The New Zealand and Australia area of the world has to be one of the favorite places in the world. I've never actually been, but I gotta change that soon. Some family members lived in Melbourne for quite a few years, even brought back a Gala named Jackie. :) Beautiful area. Except for the flies that go after anything wet on your body (eyes, mouth, etc) in the summertime in th dry aussie areas...but I'd love to go diving on the GB reef sometime.

Great tank! If I set up a local species tank here, it'd be full of largemouth bass, bluegill and other sunfish, etc. It would probably look pretty cool, but saltwater always seems to have something extra that fresh doesn't have. (salt, duh :D) In this area, if you aren't wearing 5mm or more diving gear, you're pretty much destined to be miserable.

Dude. Again - your tank is stunning.

    Aussie gal. Nice! 8)

I wouldn't dive off Australia, as temping as it would be. I would be scared of Irukandji!

Whoops, apparently it's spelled Galah. I knew there was an "h" in there somewhere...:D She was a great bird. Died of a respiratory cancer/disease a few years ago.

Fo real  Alot of jelly nets can't keep them out in swimming areas. I'm sure a diveskin or wetsuit would keep you safe, as long as you were covered head to toe. All you'd need would be a suit, long booties, gloves, a hood, and some full face mask thing would be ideal. Unless they can get through neoprene? I mean, they're tiny, so I doubt it. I'd be more scared swimming off of Australia than diving off of it.

lol - I thought you meant a gal named Jackie.

There was some special on the Discovery Channel a while back about those jellies. The divers had full protection on and if I remember correctly, somehow both got stung trying to collect them. Morphine doesn't even help the pain.

    NZ waters not like OZ!

Hi guys....NZ waters are colder in general than in Oz....except for the waters around Tasmania and the waters off the Grt South Rd that's between Melbourne and Sth Australia...not so many Great Whites down here!!
