As promised, today I began the move. I took about 8 large rocks and removed the coral. Then I dipped them in RO for about a minute, and scrubbed the heck out of them while they were submerged in SW from the 60. I was gobsmacked by how dirty the water got. During last years emergency move, the rock was stacked In a way I could not get to them to clean.way

Look what I found in a rock. The mother of all bristle worms!

I drove to the new house and placed the rock in the new tank haphazardly. This is not my aquascape. But with rocks in it, it's beginning to look like a real tank!

I killed Larry, my fire shrimp today. I was dipping rock in cold RODI to make sure no pest came with me. Then I scrubbed it and put it in a tub of SW removed from the old DT. Well, Larry had been hiding in a rock, and when I dumped the bucket I found him. 1/2 hour in cold RODI. I feel like crap. I killed Larry.

Yee haw! The rest of the coral and the 4 fish moved in today. It's a mess right now until I aquascape and glue.

2nd fatality today. Shifty, my flame hawkfish, jumped from the tank. He jumped from my old DT when I first got him a year ago. I was standing right there and was able to scoop him up and put him back in the tank. Today he was not so lucky. I guess it was stress from the move. RIP Shifty :(

The other fish (Kole tang, royal gramma, spotted mandarin) are doing great The evil clownfish were driven to their new home this morning, and reports are that they are loving their new home, a 280 in-wall. I was worried about the harlequins because I couldn't find them, so I threw in a frozen starfish and they came out within 2 minutes. So all in all it has been relatively succesful so far.

Got the skimmer fired up today! I got it used so I was a little skeptical. Well here it us after 2hours on a very new tank. I'm impressed.

If my coral could speak, today they would have said "get your dang hands out of the tank". Sorry the iPhone camera turns everything blue, but here's a quick fts and a closer look at the left-hand aquascape.
