It is a dry heat, yeah right !
The tank is really beautiful, you should be proud. Nice job on coral placement and scape, it looks very natural.

Thank you, Bill! Things are good at the coast but quiet. Really really quiet. You'll have to come down and visit; you are always welcome!

Can you believe I have not added any more coral than what was in my crowded 60 cube?

Today is the 2-month anniversary of moving fish and coral into the new tank! Did a complete maintenance today in honor of the occasion: wc, clean, media replacement, sump scrub and full test-up today. Mag low (crappy instant ocean salt) alk and ca need to be brought up a bit after mag is up... Nitrates at zero! I've never had zero nitrates before. Awesome.

No new pics. But my next purchase will be a big branch of tonga branch rock that will be taller than the water level. I think it will be way cool. But i am hesitant. The rock will have to be ordered sight-unseen from BRS. Its a $75 dollar (with shipping) experiment that may not work.

You could go to marcorocks.com. I believe they usually have WYSIWYG pieces there. If not, you may be able to request a certain style and size of the rock.

Been a while, so I thought I'd check back in! Tank is doing well, but is still awaiting a re-plumb on the drains so it's not so stinking loud! It's like living in a washing machine, but truthfully I don't notice it much. I'll (with help!) be putting in a bigger pump and making one drain an emergency drain and putting a gate valve on the other one.

Just put in about 15 more lbs of LR. I think it's looking good!
    Cheers! Helen
