I have had this for 3 weeks now, and I am loving the color change that it is undergoing.
I bought this scorpion thinking it was a frilly rhino but it is actually an ambron scorpion. He is eating VERY well, is doing well and is growing well. Here is a picture of when I got him

    here is his picture tonight

I am excited as often fish get drabber as they stay in captivity...and he is still only eating live food....but I am supplementing him with HUFA's and Vitamins

Oh yeah...his name is VIPER....these fish can be very, very venoumous and should have been left in the ocean. The store I bought it from thought it was a rhino also..was only when I was another site that a fish expert ID it as ambron that I was able to get the picture ID and see the true difference. They are very close in appearance to the frilly rhino with the exception that these have a mustache and horns

Nut describes me for sure :stars:

My parents freaked out when they found out I had a peacock mantis...my mother made me promise to NEVER, EVER place my hand in its tank...yes mother I promise....

Then they found out I have this fish....

So I had my mom down and I was showing her all my tanks (and I mean all...even fish people are now thinking I am a freak) and I show her Bob the mantis tank. Even though I do not push him...I know when he is angry and when I should stay away. So I show her I can place my hand in the tank and it be ok. I start cleaning his tank...she starts hitting me...get your hand out, get your hand out! Startles me, which startles Bob..but Bob just went into his den....he knows who feeds him!

So I show her Viper....I feed him his feeder shrimp....the shrimp goes behind a rock...WITHOUT even thinking..I reach into his tank (cause I do it often) and move the rock to put the shrimp closer to him...my mom freaks out again......

I am now grounded from my tanks at the age of 35::) I had to vow right then and there that I would never stick my hand in those 2 tanks again :deal2: and that if I did and got hurt that I would never ever call her!

My Mom and (especially) my Dad do that to me. At 44. A few years ago I was going to the ocean (it is about 90 minutes away to the Pacific Ocean for me). He was telling me to bring a coat because it is windy there and I might get cold. And watch out for the undertow.....don't let Logan (my son....4 at the time) go out into the ocean without me.

OK Dad. That's all I could say.

I suppose I will probably do that to my kids too. Oh well. Could be worse.

Nice fish.......Crazy to have it, but nice fish. I would have loved to see that on video. It would have been very groovy to watch.
