    Yikes.

    I remember those fun times...

I am putting off buying new bulbs because I know that algae will have a field day...

Are you feeding too much? You obviously have too many nutrients in your water! How about filtration and water flow?
Also, try doing a water change!

There arent any fish in the tank at the moment so overfeeding is out of the question..filtration is subpar at the moment with my big Topfin 30 hob filter that I am replacing with a penguin 350 Wednesday.. Also I have a Koralia #1 pushing 400gph plus flow created by my remora aquac. all saltwater is store bought.. RO topoff water bought from same LFS and only uses about 1 gal every 4 days. all tests come back fine with my hagen test kit and also from my LFS

Being that the tank is fairly new, you will get some microalgae! Do you or are you planning on a refugium addition to your tank!? If you add some macroalgae, it should help to cut down on the micro!

If you are cleaning algae off your glass everyday, how long are you leaving your lights on for each day???:-/ Algae builds up on my glass if I leave my daytime lights on for more then 8 hours a day.
