I made this one a few weeks ago but ive been to busy to finish it but it works good.Im going to find a small magnifying glass and glue it or maybe just place it on the inside so i can view either way with only one viewer.

Another glass versus acrylic is that if you drop it the glass would probably break before the acrylic.

Yeah the glass edge idea seems kinda sharp.

It is a cool idea to combine a regular viewer with a magnafying glass. I wonder if laying a magnifying lense into the viewer would work. The edges werent too sharp. It could just be that my fingers are so strong and tough though ;) who knows. I did think of the dropping thing also... Just gotta be careful. I thought making this was fun so making another one in the event of an accident wouldnt be a terrible thing.

BTW your viewer looked pretty sweet too. Did you leave the acrylic square? or cut it circle to be flush with the PVC?

Also: did the glue make a water tight seal? I wasnt sure if it would so I just used some silicone I had lying around.

Im going to be cutting it flush when i get time to and i have left over materials also so i can make a backup if needed.yeah i had fun doing mine too cause it was cheap and i made it.Oh yeah the glue worked great because i was bonding plastics im not sure how it would work with glass to plastic.

Im also building a small tank for fun from scraps.
