    many of my co workers took up expensive hobbies or bought new trucks after quiting the alcohol.at any given time about 20% of our work force was in jail or work release or going through some form of court.they were actually quite wealthy after going sober lol.

    Well, good to see i'm helping keep the average age down ;P Also, you have to realise that the lighting is annual cost (probably just bulbs?).. either way i have spent over $1200 on my tank and today rolls over to 2008... let's see how i do this year :D

    Lunatic:)....ask my hubby, I DON'T shop! Shoot me first! He makes me buy foo foo clothes. Give me a pair of sweats and a t shirt! I HATE SHOPPING I'd spend all my money, if I could on fish supplies or a bigger tank.......and hey one bottle of goldschlagger per week isn't bad, is it? :laugh::laugh:

    Aquaboy....son...you're only 14. I think you may be starting off on the wrong foot when it comes to understanding women :)

    I was JK cuttingras! my family used to be a not average income family, due to my tank lol, so i used to know how NOT to spend money. i once had over $900 in my wallet from saving money from B-Days and Lawn mowing. Then i got into this hobby and spent $2000 in a week. Money is paper and fish+corals are cool which one do you want? LOL

    Cuttingras.....i pamper my Girlfriends by showing them my tank when they come over and explaining how i spent all my money on my tank and why i cant spend alot of money on them, XD

    Yeah... but without that paper you ain't buying corals or fish ;DLOL You "pamper" them, by showing them your tank?? Wow, what a romantic kind of guy you are!! LOL.....besides, you are 14, you don't need a g/f yet!!! LOL I know you were j/k, me too(except for the part about too young to need a g/f)!;D
