What would be better (Chemi-pure Elite or SeaChem SeaGel) for a 30 gallon fish only with dead rock and aragonite sand? water will be changed once every two week 10%. the lights will be there only for growing coralline algae and display(2 blue, 1 actinic 03 and 1 6500k white T5s).

I use chemipure and its giving me crystal clear waters and I get 0 ppm when checking for ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates on my 36 gallon setup. I put it in my canister filter. I believe the seachem will come with the same results, its just comes down to the price.

I use Chemipure Elite for phosphate remover as well as crystal clear water.

The package will give the recommended amount in the instructions. Some corals have shown to have problems if the full amount is added to an existing tank that already has phosphate/algae issues, but you will be fine with a FO tank.

I'm not sure about the longevity; again, you'll need to refer to the instructions on the label.

As for the bad effects on corals, that's only if you have not been using chemical filtration and you have phosphate/algae problems. In that case, you would need to add a small amount to start, then gradually increase over a period of a few weeks until you have the recommended amount. It seems that reducing phosphates too rapidly can irritate some hardier corals; more sensitive ones have been known to bleach.

Blue Life Clear Fx Pro is by far the best choice. The organic exchange resins in Chemipure/Chemipure Elite works awesome in freshwater but doesn't work nearly as well in saltwater. The Pro version adds polymer coated GFO which absorbs a lot more phosphorus. Clear FX and Clear FX Pro combo water polishing resins from Blue Life USA

I've used Clear Fx Pro, Chemipure Elite, and I've invented my own using Purigen, Phosguard, and Hydrocarbon2. Clear Fx Pro is the clear winner.
