    I didn't use nearly that much roi... and have already placed in the sump.

    What did you see when you rinsed in the bucket?

    there no need to rinse the chemi-pure. in fact they recommend against it

    So, were you referring to rinsing Chemi Pure or Purigen?

    Rinsing the Chemipure is most important. There is a lot of powder residue from the carbon that needs to be removed.

    Bought 2 chemipure today placed them under the 1.5" drain from overflow.

    Instructions are on the box as to required rinse. I simply poured some ro/di over them....seemed sufficient and has not left any noticeable residue on sump or tank walls.

    How often do you replace these? I'm getting conflicting feedback...some say 2-3 months. What's your experience?

    I just replaced my chemi pure and purigen I put them in my HOT filter. However I apparently didn't rinse the chemi pure enough. o_O Will this harm corals/fish/inverts??

    i would definitely rinse it well. carbon particles in the water has been identified as a possible cause for HLLE in fish.
