chemiclean safe for clams??

    that's funny you ask because I just had to use some of this. I have a 6 inch crocea clam in my tank was well as a 5 inch gigas and they both did ok with it. I only dosed once and put a media reactor with some phosban in 48 hours later after my 25 percent water change. both clams did very well

    I'll agree with that with the first treatment, but my clam did not like the 2nd dose at all. I ended up doing a WC and cleared out the 2nd dose of the chemiclean before any damage was done. Remember that it's recommended to do 2 doses, which will drop the oxygen levels in the tank. That may be why my clam closed up. Just keep an eye on the O2, ALK and the pH levels.
