I know the original was not,but you could do some of the other brands that are dimmable for a fraction of that jbj hood.

Actually, sympodium in each corner, one green, one blue. Thanks, Cosmo, like many great ideas, I stole, ahem, borrowed that one. The PAR bulbs are nice, but eventually I would like a fixture.

Cheryl, 1 reefbreeders value bridgelux should be fine, but the Cree version def would be with a little overkill, IMO, 2 bridgelux would be sweet though

 

I'd look into RapidLED personally.
