I would get a third test honestly before making changes. I had a similar situation with alk tests. Turns out the red sea was right not the older sailfert.

White line. No syringe. My test kit did not even come with a syringe. The red sea pro is more complicated but I am more comfortable with syringes since once being a nurse and a lot of biology.

Hey Chris, have not seen him since I put the sand in. He did get used to the BB though, but I am sure he is much happier with sand. I will throw some pics up once it clears from the sand and the new corals should be here in a day or two.

    Hmmm Alex,

I do not have a third kit, I dosed tonight, I will check out the level and the appearance of the corals tomorrow. The API not being right explains a lot of things like the disappearance of my coralline, issues with sps, Duncan not fully expanded, a lot of things.
To add to that, I did a water change before I tested so lord knows how low it was to start with. I figured if anything was low it would be the ALK not the Ca, wrong.

Just for fun please re-test with API using 5ml in a syringe and post results. The white line on the glass vial is not true 5ml, this will give incorrect test results.

You should see a difference, when I saw the article on 3reef about it a few months back I tried it with some kits laying around there was a pretty large difference in the results.
