    Congratulations on the new cam.

That is a strange growth pattern- can't say I've ever seen anything like it. Very nice color and PE on it and all of your corals, though. :)

I understand all the reasons for going bare bottom, but the look of it to me just isn't natural and isn't that kinda the point of having a reef tank? ;),imo,it looks much better with some sand in there.Corals are looking great as always and congrats on the new camera! And just so you know,i'll keep working on pushing you towards leds

if my corals in my nano looked like those in yours i wouldn't change a thing, all accept that red planet it really needs to perk up a little, polyps need to come out a little more;D

    I sense sarcasm proreefer.

Funny thing is I check PE on all my corals first thing in the am and when I get home, I believe I need an intervention.

Thank you for the kind words.

Back to sand already? After about 3 weeks of slow removal (I had 3+") I've been finally sand free for a week or two, and my coral (and tank in general) really look better. As far as the lights go, I bought my par38 bulb right when LEDs were starting to become big, however I've been looking all over for T5 systems that could fit on my biocube 14. Regardless, your tank stilll looks amazing, and nice to see the goby is out and happy, despite that ever-present frown hahaha
