Right, yeah my SG/Ca/alk/Magnesium levels definitely contribute to Tank Maintenance Compulsion Syndrome (otherwise known as burning money).

I know how you feel. I have an abundance of coralline on my rock but I would really like to have it on my back glass. I didn't paint the back of my tank because "oh coralline will cover it in no time flat". I was wrong. I have great coral growth right now, decent coralline on rock but nothing on overflows, glass, or even powerheads for that matter.

I think it's the sheer amount of sps you have in that little tank. Have you ever tried bumping your dosage up a bit to see what happens?

Actually Daniel I have, right now I am at Ca:400 Alk:10 and Mag:1450.

Water changes every week of over 10%.

    Dosing 3 times a day.

Still working on it. I am actually thinking of seeding with a large pieces of coralline covered live rock.

Pay no attention to coralline it grows like a weed, try to cultivate it and just forget it. :-/

bump CA up just a bit and do that for a while. My CA is sitting at about 460 and alk at around 10. That seems to be producing. Well on my rock anyway.
