That's honestly what I would do. Now, how do I get it to grow on my glass that I purposely didn't paint? LOL

i found that our SPS had the most growth when we kept our alk at around 11-13. We had to keep our level up higher because everything was just sucking it out of our water. Looks great of course

    Hi Mel.

Thank you for stopping by. :)

Sps are such sponges, as bad as clams.

Do you still have the JBJ up?

Yeah it is still up......but pretty BARE right now. Life came up and we werent able to keep up with the daily dosing of stuff. We then had a cascade of events, leading to RTN and STN and loss of a lot of corals. Unfortunately, in a small tank that is LOADED with sps, a small event can lead to a massive loss!

We are in the process of getting the tank and parameters back under control and then we are going to start adding more corals again. We have been going to LFS stores to get "psyched" up again! :)

Yes they are and I think that's why you are having issues with the purple stuff. I think the corals are taking it all up before you can begin coralline. You may possibly up your dosage but not see a rise in levels at all because the corals are still using it. If that makes sense.

This I find funny. A Millepora frag from HappyCoral I got about a month ago.

Just my humble zoanthid and paly collection. The palys have me a tad concerned with their growth rate, seems pretty invasive. All zoanthids are growing like weeds as well.

The brown acropora continue to lighten slowly.

    Thanks. :)

Among the zoanthid/palys pics they are in image#3. My desire was to have them be the ones with the really long skirts, still working in that. Higher flow area but not the desired length yet. :(

All or most of the zoanthids started out as just a couple polyps per frag, 5 at most for pink. They have all grown fast but have not reached the coloration I am hoping to see.
