    Hi Mr.Bill,

Warm and fuzzy she is not. She never smiles, except when my hand gets too close to the water.

Wish I could nail it down. All the acropora show the same exaggerated PE. It very well might be that I tend towards Millepora types. Dosing parts A/B, SG 1.025 (yes I know should be higher) Temp 80.

It actually might have concerned me but they have good coloration and growth so I am not sure why other than the coral type being Millepora.

Hi Chris, in your tank I would start low. It's hard to give too little light to RP in most systems designed for reefs, but easy to kill it or bleach it with too much light initially. Mod flow, no direct. Congrats.

    Hi Swiss,
I have a nice size piece of Hydnophora in the sand in the corner of my tank. It has killed more corals than I can count.
Very interesting article and great images.

    Thanks.

    Thank you Pastey. :)

    Fuzzy Millies!

A friend of mine had a fish frag a huge piece of sunset millie yesterday. He is going to give it to me. For some reason it is by far the hairiest, fuzziest stick I have ever seen. Not just in his tank but 2 others as well that Ive seen. Same original source. I can't wait!

Sunsets are great pieces with all the variations in color, hence the name I guess.

Looking forward to seeing images of it.

I have a small frag growing out now, I am going to have to wait to see if it turns into a true sunset.

    Congrats, fantastic score.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

We might think it needs to be higher, but I think your tank is saying otherwise. ;)

    Looks great!

The Pink Millepora and the Sunset frag Millepora.

The pink was pale pink when I got it, a very nice color with extreme PE. Now it's dark in color, but not brown. It is now showing some PE, but I nearly killed it by adding more sand to my tank. It began a STN from the base and showed no PE for 2 weeks. It went from pale pink to this darker color almost over night. It seems to have stopped it's decline and is on the road to recovery. It would be nice if I could make one or two saves of a failing pieces for a change.

Lost more of the Millepora/Pink one, but it looks like it will not be a total loss. Hope I just did not jinx myself.

Getting an ATI 24" 4 bulb fixture tomorrow. No icon can express my excitement. :trampolin

The great white stomatella comes out of the depths every once in a while. This time I got an image of her before she returned to the shadows of the rock work.

    :cheesy:

    That is absolutely perfect.

If my cats do not try to hang from fixture and I can make a decent DIY lid it will be perfect!!!!!!!!!

Less heat, less energy and more light!!!!!!
