I just felt like letting you know, I've started the process of going BB, but I'm doing little week by week as to not take out too much beneficial bacteria at a time. Love the RP too, amazing how fast it already grew over the flattened tips.

Yep, BB you will not regret it. Easy to clean, easy to add sand back, keeps nutrients down.

Got a great deal on a somewhat browned out Acorpora colony. It's a golden coloration. Will keep it low for a week or so, move it up and see what it turns into. Huge colony, for my tank anyways. Center mid level for new coral.

    It's ok Alex.

I did not glue anything down yet.

The new colony will need to be moved up.

So to fellow reefers Karzy glue=Super Glue as far as reef safe???

    Cyanoacrylate based glues are reefsafe.

Glad the BB is working out for you. I bought my reefer son a used 14 gallon Biocube with an LED retrofit. The only stipulation I gave him was that it had to be BB. His rock is chilling in my sump, and he has three frags growing in my frag tank. You know that young people are going to move often, and moving a tank with gravel is a pain.

    Hi Mel. Thank you!!!!

It's motivating for sure. I bet you are feeling he same way. Unfortunately my lighting can only stay on for 6 hours a day do to bulb and acclimation.

That is so cool that your kid likes the hobby enough to run a tank.

Excellent idea on keeping such a small tank BB.

    :)
