Wow that sounds a lot of light compare to mine.. My RP is sitting at 23" from my LED right now. Sounds like i should raise a bit? This is very helpful! Thanks Cheryl.

Thanks Daniel, really appreciate your input. Yeah, I want to keep both dark red/green combo on my RP. So I had kept my RP at the bottom for a few months with 100~120PAR. Showing great PE and decent growth so far, but ive noticed encrust base is darkening with less PE but the tip is turning pinkish. A week ago, i raised it a bit (now at 23" from the LED), still trying to figure out.

 

It will be interesting to see on the growth and PE. Very cool if you upgrade your tank.

Cheryl, I really thought about going to t5 before I made the move to LED. Up until just recently, I was starting to second guess my decision. I'm now getting color back and the shimmer rivals MH any day. With all of this being said, I think you are going to be more than happy with your choice.

I see great things happening with LED run tanks. Honestly though I can say I am still reluctant to make the move to LED.

It took probably about 9 months to finally find a quality fixture at a decent price locally. Pickings are slime here. I have had T5 in the past but they were low end fixtures and bulbs, I did not know any better.

You corals do look fantastic and I see new growth on the Efflo.

 

The fixture is tentatively in place until I complete the lid.

I like it and it sure changes the look.

No FTS because I think my tank looks barren and crappy currently.

Now, a slow grower, but I think it needs to encrust first. Jan-March.


Pink millepora a piece I really wanted for a long time that almost died on me.


Love the palys but they are growing like weeds, kind of scary.


Wish these would grow as fast, but getting there.
