Uggg dang it, I do not want to buy more freaking calibration fluid. In my heart I knew I would just have to get the calibration fluid...Nothing easy happens fast in this hobby is the new motto.

Was it calibrated prior? Mine has remained calibrated for a couple months (just checked it today).

Yes like 8 months ago. It needs to be re-calibrated in a big big way.

I believe the 65 is 24" tall. The 40 is 16" tall...and 16" isn't enough in my opinion. I looked for a 65, but most stores were selling 90 gallon reef ready tanks for less. Annoying!

Well the very good news is that my little out in the middle of literally no where town is getting a Petco!!!!!!! No more driving 80 miles to get salt. The impulse to buy a bigger tank will surely over come me if I do not have 80 miles to think about my decision all the way to Tucson. :) :) :)

    I wish.

    LOL. :smartass:

Well two in the sump/back chamber and one big Korailla up front.

Yeah I know it's the pumps keeping the temp up.

I had a nice long post written up, and then I clicked previous thread button by mistake

Basically, as others have said, go with an 18" wide tank minimum, so 40 breeder, 65 (taller 40 breeder), or 75 (2' longer, but 4" shorter than 65). The extra 6" width on my 125 is night and day compared to the 55 it is replacing!

    75 is only 12" longer than a 40B/65 Gallon.

    Hi Marshall,

I do the same thing all the time, soooo frustrating.

Going with the 40 breeder for a couple reasons:

My current lighting fixture will work.
I like the dimensions a lot, it's got to be much easier to scape then my JBJ 28. The tank is just right height wise for sps and my fixture.

Now the sump decisions start. I like the drilled overflow modification. The fact that you can not see plumbing behind black over flow appeals to me.

Oh and painting the back....now see this is how it snow balls. :)
