Learning how to keep the Ant Insignis, it's a coral that shows very little pe, keeps you guessing as to how the coral is doing. It's a white, pink and iridescent green and growing well.

It's awesome. :p I like some white corals, this will color up pink and green though once everything settles. It has a awesome corallite structure.

In the first image there is a nub of acropora the left most one, kind of teal green in color. That is a Stuber Stage, the very first acropora ever aquacultured and successfully kept. It's already spouting from the base.

    Unique Corals.
The Stuber Stag produced at ORA is a direct descendent of the famous "Stuber Acropora" colony, one of the first corals to ever be kept in captivity. It's namesake is German aquarist Dietrich Stuber, who is credited with launching the "Berlin" method of reefkeeping. It's one of the oldest ORA corals available, and they like to refer to it as an "heirloom species". It features a long branching structure with a deep brown base and light blue growth tips. The Stuber is known for its distinctive corallites, which are longer and more widely spaced than many other so-called "Staghorn" species. If you're looking for a frag with a great history, this one is for you! Note that ours are huge and super grown out! Get them while the last.

Day 6, the usual new tank stuff, diatoms in full bloom. Alk came down in 3 days to 9, happy about that. Nice PE, colors need a little work, no biggie. One billion Stomatella made the transfer. If you do not have hermits you end up with a ton of Stomatella.

Continuing my no hands in the tank montra, day two, not bad for a 6 day old tank, saving up all my maintenance, still have to hook up ATO. Still dosing Kalk by hand, two parts for ca/alk, kent for mag, lugols on tues, strontium on thurs. Zeo supplements each day. Hydra running at 60%, Mp10 running at 60%.

Some algae growth, chemistry good, just cruising and thinking over my fish options.

Stuber, Tenuis, Nausta, Boreallis in that order. Nausta is hiding behind Borealis.

FINALLY I find your new thread and got caught up. I'm subscribed. I love your acro choices. I know they r the same ones, but they're still very pretty.

Congrats Cheryl. Looks great. I was looking at your dosing products and realized everyone talks avout the zeo systems but never got into researching the products.

I am seriously considering downsizing my 55 and getting something with more depth (front to back wall)... either that or get rid of half my rock... which is, and always has been super overkill.. it's just what I needed to do before to get acros to grow with the crappy fixture.

I can't wait to see more of your beauty full close up shots.

Ps: pretty rock work too. I dig the tunnel.

    Thanks!!!!!!:D

    And thanks for following.

You got the fixture for growing sps, yup I am still envious.

I think you'll be happier with less rock, it makes maintenance easier as well.

But I have really learned how to use my LEDs in past 6 months, I am happy with my coral growth, now I just have to fine tune color.

The Brown Millepora is really gold, I need to get a better camera soon.

My Alk consumption has gone way up, I realize that it's a larger volume of water, but that does not explain such an increase. Dosing pump hook up is in my immediate future.

Tomorrow it will be 10 days, I am going to do a water change.
