Hey hey night, what's up????Still got the tank going?

    Thank you MIndy.

It's still having growing pains just like any new tank.

Very nice of you to say Juston.

The tank is having the usual new tank algae issues. I am seeing a few flatworms, not entirely sure which type yet, does not look like Red Planaria so I am going to see if population starts to really bulge. Tons and tons and of pods and stomatella.

    Alk:8.4
    Ca 400
    Mag 1500
    SG 1.025

A lot of polyp extension and growth is great. Still doing Zeovite supplements, Lugols Tues, Strontium Thurs, Mag Friday. Daily top off with Kalkwasser.

What test kit do you use for the Iodine and Strontium?

Salifert for Iodine 0.05-.06. I only test every couple months because the value never changes really, 1 drop per/20 gallons each week.
I do not test for strontium, 5 cc/20 gallon every other day is the recommended dose, I dose 5 once weekly, so my dose is far less then recommended.
On the week I do a water change I do not dose either.

I am completely aware that both Iodine and Strontium can become toxic at higher concentrations.

Iodine enhances color, and the strontium aids in skeletal growth for sps. I do not recommend or encourage others to take the same supplement route but I like what it does for my system. :)

Old habits are hard to break.

I am sitting here trying to figure out what would be the best placement for my Hyacinithus. Which leads me to think well I will move the Mp to this spot to get this flow, ........I stopped myself just in the nick of time. One thing I am really trying to keep in mind is, do not mess with a perfectly good system and healthy corals for the needs of 1 piece.

BTW I had to get the Hyacinthus because I had to have a min order from DD, so it really is DD fault. Last one I got from them was DOA, about 5 months ago. One of my favorite corals, high flow and high light, great tabling acro.

We are going to become buddies and he'll be larger. A container most likely. He is so cute, and pretty friendly for new introduction. He is not much bigger then my clown, just a youngin.

Thanks Mindy. Yeah I know right, Cheryl actually has fish, who knew.
