Once again, a small Chili coral followed me home from LFS a couple of months ago. LFS told me it was a very low light coral and needed to be kept in shady part of tank.

I put it under a ledge thinking that is where it would be happy. Has looked like a small lumpy red potato ever since.

Today I moved it to the "medium" light end of my tank out in open, away from MH, and it moments it "blossomed" out.

Umm, wondered why he sold it so cheap...never looked as good as it does now in his tank. As I recall he had only two small ones...and the other is still there on last visit (looking like a small red lumpy potato.)

I don't know what/how it eats. But it better learn to eat the same thing all my other corals do. Light and whatever is floating around in water.

Will see what happens. But is looking good now.

It will eat the same thing as your corals only it needs ALOT more as it's not at all photosynthetic. Have a read on that thread that I linked and hopefully, you'll have luck with it :)

Its a rather hard /difficult coral to keep.. Good luck with it . The LFS sold it to you cheap so it would not die in there tank. The old Cha Ching factor ..
