Is a chiller for a 29 really recommended for use in Utah? It gets to about 110 degrees in the summer but the winters are really cold too... would it be better to get a heater and a chiller?

Depends on how cool you keep your house and your lighting. If you don't keep your house at 80 and don't have halides I wouldn't think that you would need one.

I'm going to be buying the Biocube 29 HQI... It includes a 150 watt MH... I keep my house at about 72 degrees... depending on the day, weather patterns... ect...

There's really no way to tell unless someone on here sees this that has the same setup..so I would get the tank up and running and just find out how hot it gets. No sense in spending a ton on a chiller if you don't have to.
