Hey guys I have question regarding what size I should use for my JBJ 1/3hp chiller. Can I use a RIO 1700 to run this properly?

    Flowrate Chart for rio 1700:

    Head Height______GPH
    0'_______________625
    1'_______________605
    4'_______________325
    6' ________________75

    JBJ 1/3hp chiller

Minimum flow rate = 480 max flow rate = 2400

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thx

Id go with a mag drive pump...any thing mag 7 and up will work....that pump you also listed would work. But the reason to go with a large pump is you never know when the extra flow will be needed. You can get a ball vavle and dial down the flow until you need more. Better to have much then not enough!

I would ask this differently.... is your chiller level with your sump and your pump will be in the sump???

If so, you won't have much head pressure. I don't need water flying fast through the chiller... you need flow to get delta-T.... what you listed would be fine... I do not have a dedicated pump for my chiller at all...I just have it tapped off my return pump so the water is always circulating through the chiller. Works fine....
