I've read a lot of posts about the need or no-need for a chiller. With that in mind I NEED A CHILLER :) I just need input on which one to get. I have an 80gal tank with a 15gal sump. Will need to "chill" about 6 months a year. What's a good brand and which ones should I stay away from? All input on this would be appreciated! ;D

Waters too hot! :) Today it got to 84 I'm gone most of the day, If I run the house A/C at a level that would help I would need Obama handouts to survive. Not using halides, just flurescent, top and stand are left open. Seems if I spent 3 to 5 C notes for a cooler I would save even more off my power bill in 6 months. :)

Do you have fans on the sump and display tank? Evaporation can do amazing things.

We sell several brands of chillers but sell more Aqua Euro than any other brand. The combination of price and performance, I think is gives AE the edge. We have never had any service issues with the AE chillers we have sold and have not heard any customer problems.

So fans didn't work? or evaporation was too much? Do you have an ATO?

Just going to ask: you don't have your heater on do you?

I think there are more economical ways to bring down your temperature, such as with fans. florescent shouldn't be driving your 80 gallon system that high. What temperature do you set your house at before you leave.

Do you have a canopy? How many bulbs do you run?
