So does the color layout I have in the OP sound good?

I'll have the default to someone else. I have very limited knowledge on LED lighting. Good Luck.

Well I got a message into reef breeders, if they can do things I want for the right price I will go with them for sure :)

And, I like this light for this price! I might have to try and sell mine and upgrade.

Ok I've heard back from reef breeders and they told me that the whites, reds and violets are on one dimmer and the blues are on the other which is exactly what I wanted and they will replace the green with what ever color I want :D as well as the 90 degree optics.

I found out that the other set was actually going to cost me $408 total with what I wanted them to do.

I decided that I'm going to go with reef breeders, I'll be saving 8 bucks and helping out a supporting company :)

now I had originally planned on replacing the 2 green bulbs with 2 455nm royal blues but I was wondering if anyone had any other opinion on what color I should replace them with, should I maybe add two more violets instead? let me know what you think.

I'm going to be ordering these tomorrow :D

for those who may not know this is a description of what bulbs are in the light...

The white channel consists of 9 7500K cool whites, 4 3500k warm whites, 2 520nm green, 4 480nm blue, 4 420nm violet, 2 630nm reds, and 2 660nm deep reds. The blue channel consists of 28 450nm royal blues, for a 14k output with both channels at maximum intensity.

Yes they will do "some" mod work and can change the default optics, but they are almost where you want them now. Both channels dimmable and all whites and colors are on one channel, the blues are on the other. They also have controllable versions as well with timer/controller built in.

yeah I was looking at the controllable ones with timers, unfortunately those are a bit out of my price range and I need a light fairly quickly since my T5s crapped the bed a few days ago, I have an old two bulb T5 fixture over my tank for now but thats only going to make it so long lol.

like I said I am going to be ordering the fixtures tomorrow I just need to know what would be best to replace the green bulbs with :)

I here ya,i went with the value fixture myself as price was an issue for me as well. There's only two of the greens and they're not noticable seperately in the tank, they're actually a really nice crisp blend of colors around a 14k look to them, however if I was to switch out the greens,i'd replace them with more blues.

thank you for your input, I'm most likely going to change them out for more blue, I was just thinking that a couple more violets would give the tank a more purple look.
