Chris' 90 Gallon Update hey can someone tell me what this is

hey guys week 6-7 now i got some new rock in there today can any one tell me what this thing is that looks likea tree
that tree thing was attached to the rock that i got today it looks cool also there is this big star fish in there it is black in colour and has like a million little legs attached to its long tentecle things is this bad ill get a photo as soon as i can but i cant see it at the moment

 

come on someone tell me what this tree thing is

 

have you seen any polyps on it ? like little buds on a tree limb . The blue coloration make sit hard to say really could be a sponge or a old sea fan algae even or Gorgonian coral ? Need a better close up photo well I do anyways , But if it was rock collected from the gulf or atlantic I would say Gorgonian coral of some type

 

umm no no polops just looks like a stick its white and brown

 

hei man! i see ur from melbourne... if u dnt mind me askin, wer do u get ur pet stuff from??? eg fish corals?

looks like a dead/dying gorgonian to me.. nice tank though!
