Hmmm surprising about the clown larvae.

(Overly dramatic voice) Nooooooooo, coralline.... Why? What did coralline ever do to you?

I really like the super clean look. FTS looks great!
That's pretty cool that the clowns hatched and are living.
    Sweet tank Chris!

Yeah I thought it was pretty surprising as well, and they aren't just a fresh batch compared to the ones I saw 4-5 days ago (I would say ~20 now compared to the seemingly hundreds before). While being well guarded and seemingly protected by the rock itself even from most of my fish I figured if nothing else they would have starved to death by now being that I don't feed any small foods (certainly nothing small enough for them). Either way I will take it as a good sign for the tank being on the right path anyways.

Thank you, hopefully many more progress images to come!!! :)

LOL... I really like the crisp clean look and way it highlights the reef as opposed to how it was starting to blend in and not look as deep IMO w/ the coraline starting to cover the back, so it had to go.

Thanks Will! This is definitely my favorite system to date, despite having ~250g of water volume at one time. Bigger isn't always better I guess LOL

Yeah the clowns are really surprising me in a good way. I definitely figured they would be gone by now, gotta be a good sign I would imagine. Their numbers have decreased alot tho so I imagine it is only a matter of time before they are gone and likely another batch pops up. I have no plans to try to raise them or anything like that and will just let nature run its course but it is always neat to see something unexpected like this for sure. :) Thanks again!!

Ok, either I didn't wait long enough for the rest to come out when I spotted them lastnight or another batch has settled in because there are a ton of them again, but many do appear slightly smaller then the ones I saw yesterday (which there is a small group that is larger then the rest so guessing this is what happened).

These little guys are all over the holes of the clown's rock, but there is one hole that is a little closer to the glass and I was able to get an absolutely horrible pic with my phone (wife left the decent camera in her truck at the mechanics.....grrrrrrrr)....

I don't feed anything small, mostly just NLS pellets (I believe medium size) 2-3times per day, so I'm really not to sure how these little guys are making it to this point...... unless they are living on vodka (j/k....).

Just means there is something right going on in your system. Congrats on a sweet stable system.

I've heard vodka helps baby clowns sleep.

Yeah it seems that this is quite the rare thing to happen. A local guy who is a pro clownfish breeder said that they typically only make it 2-3 days w/o being fed something and for them to have settled into the rocks like they are they would usually be 6-10 days old as they are basically free floating particles upto that point... so the babies I thought were like 5 days or so are likely 6-10 days older (11-15+ days old).... :)

Thanks.... I took a very short video earlier (they are so small it is hard to get it to focus much on them but yeah). After I find the camera again I will upload and post it tonight or tomorrow :)

Here is a crappy video that photobucket made even crappier..... http://s1305.photobucket.com/user/chris_reef/media/DSCN3980_zps9eb2eda5.mp4.html .... will probably try to upload it to youtube or something different (any suggestions???) later if I get a chance.

Clowns keep moving the ric, vortech spit a little sand on it but wanted to grab a pic to show its still there since I didn't get one last time:
