The hooded pair is out swimming around looking good, thin for my tank but healthy. I suspect with my feeding habits they will bulk up in no time tho.... no sign of the ornate yet.

So about as expected :) Very cool though! Glad the acclimation went well for the Hooded, and I am sure the Ornate will be out in a day or two.

Exactly :) Yeah I am not concerned with not seeing the ornate yet by any means. Being that this is the 5th leopard (I had a black jump after being in the tank a few weeks before I had tops on my 180), I have had now I fully expect to not see him for anywhere from 1-30 days. Being that he came from captivity already I would guess he will be out within a couple days max.

Edit: I just walked by the tank and the ornate is out now. Tank is still dark so could change when the lights pop on but I'd expect him to reappear if he does go back into the sand. :)

Thats what I've got for now, everyone is pretty active checking everything out and being checked out so its hard to get much right now.... more to come later/ next few days.

Yeah, I can't complain lol The hooded's definitely are a nice addition of color to the tank. :)

Awesome pics! Looks like they are already settling in :) Those must be from the Coral Sea. Is the male recently transitioning?

Actually, looking at them more, they may even be Nahacky's instead of Hooded (Cirrhilabrus sp. 1). Beautiful either way! Evolved may be able to nail it down if you are curious.

Nah, they're definitely hooded. I'd have to look up a ref. to determine which variety however; there are 3 recognized regional variants.

And C. nahackyi is official as of a year ago.
