    Welcome to the hobby and goodbye to cash in your wallet ;). Lemme just start by saying that you will save yourself alot of trouble and $$, and also allow for bad husbandry in the beginning, by getting yourself a sump with a refugium.

    1) Sump/fuge adds more water to your system.

    2) Macroalgae and a small deep sand bed will stabilize your parameters faster, and export mistakes.

    3) Keep Corals......

    I wish I had the $$ back from the stupid hang-on crap I bought before I wised up and got a sump.
