Has anyone attempted to keep these in their tank?

They have sentimental value to my parents (both ran a scuba diving lodge in the Caribbean for years) and I was thinking about placing a rock with said worms in a pico tank as an anniversary (my mother's custom gold engagement ring resembles a Christmas tree worm) or Christmas gift down the road.

They do well in a well maintained tank.

They may be an issue then. I don't think they want another chore.

From what I read people that do CTW's, are either a success or the failure. The point of failure being to provide proper conditions for the porties (?) that is part of the rock. They dont live in the rock per say but rather under the coral and inbetween the rock. They are an SPS and as such need pretty good water conditions, flow, and good lighting. People tend to think more towards conditions for verts and not the lighting especially.

Wont say I am an expert, and have never personally had them but I did some reasonable research into them back about a year ago and thats what jogs in my memory.

See if you can pick up the last issue of coral and reef usa magazine.
They have CTworms on the cover and an article about them.
From what I've read, they are quite hard to keep... Prob not a good idea for folks not really into the hobby.
