Chromis disapeard

    Well i have 2 clowns a fox face,2 chromis and tribal blenny. About 2 days ago i noticed the larger chromis hiding in rocks well today he was no where to be found.. any ideas some maybe got him? or picking on him

    Even though chromis school, they also have a pecking order. Lots of times in an aquarium they will fight each other till only one is left. Bigger doesn't always mean stronger or meaner. The little one could have killed the big one off and your cuc pulled it under a rock to....well, do their job. I hope it's not the case, but very likely. Sorry.

    I have a t5 over the top along with a taller frame around the top. Would be a tight fit..

    That's interesting, I recently had the same thing happen! 1 of 3 Chromis went AWOL. I have yet to find any evidence of him. I usually would find a body or a partial eaten left-over somewhere....:confused:

    if its a bigger tank then i say hes just hiding. or as said above the CUC did its job.

    hmm well i would usually see him hiding under the rocks and he would still come out at feeding time.. I put some food in the tank and he never came out either.. and whats cuc?

    Same thing happened to me with a Fire Fish, I could tell right off the bat things were not going well for the little guy. After a few days he disappeared... As bad as this sounds I was impressed with my cleaning crew, they did a great job. ::)
